The ‘open’ stands for open-source, free and easily available. The word ‘foundry’ is taken from the term ‘type foundry’ and suggests professional quality and industrial heritage.

All our fonts are free to use however and wherever you need, to build on and learn from. We survive on donations, membership, and education.
